About this forum

Fish and Ski Forum opened in June 2025 for people who own the boat that tries to do both jobs. A Tracker Targa, a Lund Crossover XS or Sport Angler, a Crestliner, a Ranger Reata, a Starcraft, a Bayliner Trophy. Usually 17 to 21 feet, aluminum or glass, with a Mercury or Yamaha outboard and a family that wants the tube out by noon. The big bass and walleye forums are great until you ask how fast to pull a seven year old.

It is member run. The moderator is Dana C., who posts as mod_dana_c. Dana spent 22 years writing service tickets at a marina on Muskegon Lake and now runs a 2017 Lund 1875 Crossover XS out of Grand Rapids, mostly on Reeds Lake and Lake Michigan when it is flat. She answers the mod mailbox in the evenings and slower during the salmon run.

House rules

• Hull, model year and motor in your first post. The lake too, if it changes the answer.
• Buying threads need the price, the hours and whether a trailer came with it. A price with no hours is half a comp.
• No selling boats in threads. Linking a public listing to make a point is fine.
• Work for a dealer, a broker, a marina or a transport company? Say so in every post where it matters. Staff posing as owners get removed.
• Mods move posts to the right board and leave a note. Threads get locked rarely and with a reason.
• Accounts are by email request while the spam is bad.

What this is not

Not a dealer, not a parts counter and not your owner's manual. When someone here gives you a torque value, a tire pressure or a towing rule, check it against your manual and your state before you trust your kids to it.
